Rushmore Plaza Civic Center Adding Security System
Posted: July 18, 2010 RAPID CITY, SD (AP) - Rapid City's Rushmore Plaza Civic Center is adding a $160,000 security system that will include more than 60 high-definition cameras.Managers say more people are attending concerts and meetings at the center, and the new system will help keep them safe.

The civic center will also get a new keyless entry system. Managers say reducing the need for physical keys will reduce the risk of a key falling into the wrong hands. The security system is being paid for by an infrastructure improvement bond. |
