A Hat-Trick For The Olympia
Posted: February 28, 2008
DETROIT (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) -- What does a group of teen-singing sensations, NCAA college hockey and one of the hottest rock bands have in common? They all performed in Downtown Detroit before capacity crowds over two days at Olympia Entertainment managed venues.

The Jonas Brothers kicked off the weekend run of events on Saturday, Feb. 23 with two sold out shows (4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.) at the Fox Theatre. 10,000 screaming fans came to the Foxtown Entertainment District to take in the sights and sounds of their favorite band at the Fox Theatre. Olympia Entertainment’s Hockeytown Café, which is located next to the Fox Theatre, was also filled to capacity as the parents of Jonas Brother’s concert goers enjoyed the many amenities of Detroit’s number 1 sports bar.

Also on Saturday, the heart of Hockeytown was jumping as over 20,000 college hockey fans packed Joe Louis Arena for the annual University of Michigan vs. Michigan State University showdown at the “The Joe.”

Rounding out the weekend on Sunday, Feb. 24 was yet another full house at Joe Louis Arena for one of the country’s hottest acts, The Foo Fighters.

“We sold over 43,000 tickets over a two day period,” said Olympia Entertainment President Dana Warg. “It was just another great weekend for our guest.” --by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
