EMI Joins Nokia's 'Comes With Music'
Posted: October 14, 2008 LOS ANGELES (AP) -- EMI Group PLC, the world's fourth-largest record label, has joined Nokia Corp.'s "Comes With Music" mobile phone service, and the handset maker has set pricing for its U.K. launch.With Thursday's announcement by Nokia, EMI joins the other major record labels -- Universal Music Group, Sony BMG and Warner Music Group Corp. -- as well as a host of independent groups.

Buyers of select Nokia phones that have the service will receive a year of free music downloads to their phone or computer and can keep the tracks after the year is up. The company said the Nokia 5310 XpressMusic Comes With Music phone is expected to cost about $229 when it launches in Britain on Oct. 16. |
