AEG Plans New Florida Fest
Posted: January 21, 2009
HOLLYWOOD, FL (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) -- AEG has announced plans to launch a brand new Alternative/reggae music to take place at ArtsPark @ Young Circle in Hollywood, Florida in September, 2009. The festival, to be called Dubfest, will be a one-day event aimed at the surfing & skating crowd with a California vibe.

"I feel like South Florida has been waiting for an event like this for years - a festival that celebrates the beach, the ocean, surfing, skating and more all mixed into one," said Jesse Stoll, AEG Live operations coordinator. "We are really looking to build a true quality lifestyle event that becomes a destination in Florida and beyond."

ArtsPark recently underwent renovations that incorporated a brand new main stage area and technological advancements including musical baobab trees and jumping water fountains.

As of yet, no information about the lineup has been made available, but the event is being organized by AEG Live's SE operation, staffed by former Fantasma Productions employees with long experience in the market.

"Dubfest is a festival that speaks to the indigenous culture of Florida. It's a homegrown special event that will be embraced by those who love the lifestyle here," said John Valentino, executive vice president of AEG Live SE.
