Work underway at The Joint. The Hard Rock's Got A Brand New Joint
Posted: January 22, 2009 LAS VEGAS (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) -- The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, is preparing to close its doors in order to make way for a brand new venue, also to be called The Joint.Inheriting its name from the original Hard Rock venue, the new Joint was designed by Montreal-based architectural design firm Scéno Plus. The new venue will have a capacity of 4,000, offer seven VIP hospitality suites and feature an innovative sound and lighting system and offer double the space of the current Joint.

The $60 million Joint will be part of the ongoing $750 million expansion at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. The project broke ground in 2007 and is slated for completion in late 2009. The expansion will include the addition of approximately 860 guest rooms, including an all-suite 15-story south tower, a new 17-story north tower, approximately 60,000 square feet of meeting and convention space, and approximately 30,000 square feet of casino space.
