Christian Music Festival Canceled Because Of Heavy Rains
Posted: June 27, 2006 MOUNT UNION, PA (AP) -- A large Christian music festival expected to draw thousands of people to Pennsylvania has been canceled because of heavy rains, officials announced Monday.Officials with Creation 2006 Northeast said the 28th annual festival scheduled for June 28 to July 1 would be postponed until next year. The festival was to feature bands including Newsboys, Audio Adrenaline and Barlow Girl, among others.

"This difficult decision has been made after much prayer and consideration," concert officials said in a statement. "The Festival Administration, in conjunction with local Emergency Management, has concluded that the grounds are not safe for Creation attendees." Officials said tickets for this year's show will be honored next year. The next festival is scheduled for June 27-June 30, 2007. |
