Arizona Concert Promoter, Business Partner File Bankruptcy
Posted: June 28, 2006 TUCSON, AZ (AP) -- A Tucson concert promoter and his Phoenix partner have filed for bankruptcy after creditor claims of more than $44 million.Bradley J. Nozicka of Tucson and William J. Galyon of Phoenix filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy last week, U.S. Bankruptcy Court records show.

A Maricopa County Superior Court judge appointed someone to oversee the men's assets until the civil lawsuits are settled. In the bankruptcy filings, Nozicka and Galyon claimed assets of $10 million to $50 million with liabilities in the same range. Nozicka and Galyon filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy for five businesses: City Limits Inc.; Corporate and Leisure Event Productions Inc.; BF Consulting L.L.C.; Old Pueblo Sounds L.L.C.; and Hawthorne Development L.L.C. Among the creditors listed were the Arizona Department of Revenue, Internal Revenue Service and several Tucson and Phoenix attorneys. Court records show that Nozicka formed CAL Productions, which brought such acts as Snoop Dogg, Matchbox Twenty and Keith Urban to Tucson for concerts, as a University of Arizona student. CAL Productions also booked concerts in other cities including Phoenix, Albuquerque and San Antonio, Texas. |
