Live Nation Cuts Some Arena Show Prices In Central Europe
Posted: June 30, 2009
CENTRAL EUROPE (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) -- Live Nation has been working diligently to move tickets this summer and as a part of that effort, they've been offering a limited number of tickets to arena shows in the Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary.

Tickets to shows by artists such as Lenny Kravitz, Nine Inch Nails and David Byrne are going for the equivalent of $21 USD at arenas such as the O2 Arenas in the Czech Republic or Hungary's Fonix. This price point is sometimes as much as a 75% discount from the standard ticket cost.

The tickets are only available through Live Nation's Artist Music Exchange website and have been offered thus far for a limited range of shows.

Live Nation's president of international touring disputed the notion that the ticket prices were lowered on specific shows that had seen soft sales, Audience reported.

"These areas have been hit very hard with the economy so it made sense to launch in central Europe," Shane Bourbonnais, Live Nation's president of Talent, Live Music International, told TicketNews. "We will look at how the program is received and then decide if it will expand." - CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
