MCP Pulls Out Of Australian V Fest
Posted: October 27, 2009
MELBOURNE (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) -- Australian promoter Michael Coppel Presents has pulled out of the association with the Australian edition of Virgin's V Fest, casting the future of the event into doubt.

MCP has produced the the Australian edition of the festival with the Virgin group for the past three years. Like other V Festivals around the world, the events featured solid lineups of major international performers. Despite this advantage, the Aussie V Fest has struggled to make a name for itself in the market in the face of stiff competition from festivals such as the Big Day Off touring festival.

As for the future of the festival in Australia, the numerous outlets in the Austrlian press are stating that the V Fest may be a no-go in 2010. Accoording to Billboard, a statement released by Michael Coppel Presents stated that furthre announcements about the V Festival in Australia would be forthcoming. The statement also noted that MCP expects to make "further announcements regarding future festival presentations during 2010." - CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
