NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) -- Universal Motown Republic Group has tapped Cameo Carlson to serve as their Executive Vice President. Carlson had formerly toiled at UMRG as their Senior Vice President of Digital Business Development. In her new role, she will continue to work on integrating digital content across UMRG's labels and serve as a liason with VEVO when it launches later this year.

Ms. Carlson currently manages digital music initiatives for all of the labels and artists under the UMRG umbrella. Since joining the company in 2007, she has worked on mobile, online and digital sales and promotions for artists such as Colbie Caillat, Kid Cudi, Drake, Amy Winehouse, Lil Wayne and

Jack Johnson.

During her tenure, she oversaw the success of three of the top ten digital albums in history, including Amy Winehouse's Back to Black, Jack Johnson's InBetween Dreams, and Jack Johnson's Sleep Through the Static. She also oversaw breaking mobile ringtone records for first week sales (Lil Wayne's Lollipop"), as well as achieving top-selling sales of all time (Lil Wayne's "Lollipop") and number of multi-platinum sales (Akon). In September 2008, Ms. Carlson was named one of the Top Mobile Executives by Billboard Magazine for her work at UMRG.

Prior to joining UMRG, Ms. Carlson was Manager of Music Programming and Label Relations for iTunes, overseeing U.S. editorial music programming and labelrelations for the company. From 2000 to 2004, Ms. Carlson was the rock and alternative programmer for more than 20 stations for AOL's Radio Products, including Radio@AOL, Netscape Radio, Spinner.com and other AOL affiliated online destinations. From 1996 to 2000, Ms. Carlson served as the Morning Show Host/assistant program director for Alternative radio station KFMZ in Columbia, MO. - CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
