Electric Daisy 'Regrowth' In LA
Posted: February 7, 2011 LOS ANGELES (AP) -- An electronic music festival that prompted a moratorium on raves at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum after the overdose death of a 15-year-old girl will be allowed back this year.City News Service reports that the Coliseum commission agreed Wednesday to allow the two-day festival to be held at the stadium, but crowds must be restricted to 75,000 people a day. Festival organizers said they plan to boost security and have more first-aid stations at the event, along with more secure fencing.

The commission imposed a moratorium on rave events after 15-year-old Sasha Rodriguez overdosed on Ecstasy at last year's event and later died. The moratorium was lifted in November.The Electric Daisy Carnival is scheduled June 24-25. |
