LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Concert promoter and ticket seller Live Nation Entertainment Inc. spent $55,000 in the first quarter to lobby the federal government on ticket legislation and a proposed royalty that would be paid to performance artists for radio airplay, according to a disclosure report.
That's down from the $90,000 it spent in the same period a year ago and unchanged from the $55,000 it spent in the fourth quarter of 2010.
In the January-to-March period, the company lobbied the House of Representatives and the Senate, according to the report filed April 20 with the House clerk's office.
