LOS ANGELES (VIP NEWS) -- The Monkees have cancelled the balance of their US reunion tour.13 dates remain on the itinerary including shows in Westbury, NY, Durham, NC, Cleveland, OH, and St. Louis, MO. Their tour webpage was taken down last week and a statement on Davy Jones' Facebook page says:

After having contacted a representative of Davy Jones, it has been determined that the remainder of The Monkees 2011 tour HAS BEEN CANCELLED.Depending on the source, there is speculation of internal issues (the guys have been known to fight when on the road) and a possible mix-up where the group was not aware of additional dates added to the itinerary. A spokesman for Mickey Dolenz has told TMZ that the blame does not fall on the group for the cancellation of the balance of the Monkees reunion tour. "Management had booked a number of dates with the venues without running them by the group first, so we had to cancel the remaining dates. Micky is disappointed but his solo tour is still going strong for the rest of the year." |
