Live Nation Clarifies Groupon Sales
Posted: August 15, 2011
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Concert promoter Live Nation Entertainment Inc. is now saying that it sold 600,000 concert tickets in June and July though its partnership with online coupon site Groupon, clarifying what its CEO said on Monday.

But Live Nation isn't giving a breakdown for how many of those tickets came from Live Nation or its Ticketmaster subsidiary.

Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino said during a conference call on Monday that there were 422,000 tickets purchased from Live Nation or its Ticketmaster subsidiary. The company said Tuesday that Rapino meant there were 422,000 deals purchased through the partnership.
