LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) -- James L. Dolan has announced that he is resigning from Live Nation's board of directors, effective immediately.In addition to his brief tenure on Live Nation's board, Dolan also serves as the Executive Chairman of the Madison Square Garden Company as well as President and CEO of cable television and internet provider Cablevision Systems.

Dolan joined Live Nation's board in 2011 after the company's board passed several resolutions that relieved Dolan of any potential conflicts of interest as a senior executive of a company that competes with Live Nation. The resolutions allowed Dolan to refrain from offering business opportunities to Live Nation except in "special circumstances" and stipulated that Dolan was under no obligation “to refrain from competing with, investing in competitors of, or negotiating on behalf of other entities against, Live Nation.” - CelebrityAccess Staff Writers |
