Live Earth Causes Woes For Diana Tribute & Diana Loses Ex-Lover
Posted: April 23, 2007
LONDON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) -- Not everyone is a fan of the Live Earth concert it seems. According to a report in British tabloid News of the World, organizers for the tribute concert being planned for Diana to mark her 46th birthday on July 1st have been struggling to fill the gaps left by major artists jumping ship for Live Earth.

Among those who have been reported to have withdrawn from the tribute are Madonna and The Red Hot Chili Peppers. The princes have reportedly been pressuring organizers to reconsider the current line-up and try to net some trendier acts.

Elton John is still confirmed and comes in as the biggest draw, assisted by Joss Stone, Duran Duran, Pharrell Williams and Andrew Lloyd Weber among others.

Additionally, they may lose another headliner -- Brit newspaper The People is reporting that the Princes have asked Bryan Adams to skip the tribute to avoid provoking controversy that could overshadow the event. After the Princess died in a car accident in 1997, it came to light that Adams had had an affair with the Princess of Wales. Although he is still listed on the tribute's website, a spokesman for Ferry reportedly confirmed to the paper that he would not be performing. - CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
