Ludacris Cancels In Lexington Again
Posted: April 25, 2007
LEXINGTON, KY (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) -- Rapper Ludacris cancelled a rescheduled show at Lexington, Kentucky’s Rupp Arena for the second time on April 20th, giving no official reason for the no show.

Rupp Arena director Carl Hall told the Lexington Herald-Leader that the concert would not be rescheduled again, and that ticket refunds are available at the point of purchase.

Ludacris had been scheduled to perform at the venue in February, but the concert was postponed until last week due to the death of his father.

The concert was also a source of controversy earlier in the year, when the promoter offered to donate $10,000 in instruments to Bryan Station High School and giving the school’s band a spot on stage before Ludacris performed. School officials decided that the band could not open for the rapper because of sexually provocative lyrics.

The promoter told the paper that the school would receive the donation regardless of whether the concert happened. --by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
