DTE Energy Music Theatre Gets $6 Million Renovation
Posted: April 24, 2007
DETROIT (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) -- Palace Sports & Entertainment has announced that it will spend more than $6 million to renovate the DTE Energy Music Theatre in Clarkston, Michigan.

The 15,000-capacity amphitheater will get several improvements, including a new weather-tight roof for the pavilion, a better main concession area, overhauled restrooms, and landscaping upgrades.

“We’re redoing the entire building and bringing it up to speed,” Palace spokesman Jeff Corey told The Detroit News. “It’s going to be a great area to hang out before the show and after the show.”

The concessions area will not be ready until a couple weeks into this year’s concert season, but fans will see the rest of the new and improved venue when annual season opener Eddie Money kicks off the summer on May 25.

The venue also has performances by Fall Out Boy, Stevie Nicks and Chris Isaak, Tool, Al Green, Dave Matthews Band, Rush, the Family Values Tour and Ozzfest on the books for this summer. --by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
