Ed Micone
Micone Joins Paradigm
Posted: April 26, 2007
LOS ANGELES and NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) --Paradigm has named entertainment and event veteran Ed Micone to develop its adult contemporary music, comedy and casino based entertainment clientèle. Micone brings to Paradigm his distinct expertise representing and booking music and comedy clients in the expanding casino-based events marketplace, with a career that spans more than 30 years as a leading event producer and entertainment marketer.

Based in New York, Micone will report to Monterey Peninsula Artists/Paradigm founder Dan Weiner. Micone will lead a team to develop opportunities for clients on behalf of the agency’s entire roster. As he continues to build on a legacy of developing original shows and one-of-a-kind special events, he will focus on adult contemporary music and comedy for casino driven and theatre based events and performances.

In addition to his work with a diverse roster of entertainers ranging from Tony Bennett and k.d. lang to Bruce Springsteen and Barbra Streisand, Micone was also an original producer of such landmark events as Billy Crystal’s smash Broadway hit “700 Sundays,” the North American debut of Riverdance at Radio City Music Hall and an unprecedented six Super Bowl half-time shows. In his earlier career as an agent at ICM, Micone was personally responsible for guiding the careers of Billy Crystal, Robin Williams and Dana Carvey.

“Ed is an innovative leader whose reputation in the industry is unsurpassed and we look forward to seeing the agency thrive under his expanded areas of representation,” said Sam Gores, Paradigm's chairman. “With a seasoned team of agents in place to support his efforts, we expect to establish a new standard among agencies in this line of work.”

Micone recently ran an entertainment group under his own name that developed entertainment events for such notable clients as the American Association of Advertising Agencies, Advertising Week, Reuters Media, Yahoo! Entertainment, Foxwoods Resorts & Casinos and Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. Prior to that, Micone served as executive vice president and executive producer of Radio City Entertainment, overseeing events at Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall and the Theater at Madison Square Garden. Micone joined Radio City Productions after his stint at ICM. --Bob Grossweiner and Jane Cohen
