A Tale Of Two Van Halens
Posted: August 23, 2007
LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) – With all of the publicity surrounding the highly anticipated Van Halen reunion tour featuring original frontman David Lee Roth this fall, you’d think it would be easier to get in touch with the band’s agent.

It seems that despite the announcement of Dancin’ Dave’s glorious return to VH, there still exists another mirror band fronted by former Roth-replacement, the Red Rocker himself, Sammy Hagar.

The Van Halen boys, Eddie, Alex, and Eddie’s song Wolfgang, who is handling bass duties for the current tour, are repped by Irving Azoff’s Frontline Management, no matter who’s holding the mic. Monterey International’s Garry Buck, who co-booked the current tour with Frontline, explained to CelebrityAccess that technically two entities exist.

The Van Halen with Sammy Hagar in front is still considered a live, separate entity, despite the singer and band not currently touring together. Any live representation for that act is still handled by William Morris and Podell Talent, along with Frontline Management.

The current tour, which is making stops in 25 cities across North America between September and December, is being handled by Buck for Monterey International, with management by Frontline and Roth’s manager, Matt Sencio.

Does that clear anything up? To get it all straight, check both acts' entries on CelebrityAccess. --by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
