Live Nation Sacks Stuart Galbraith
Posted: September 4, 2007
LONDON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) -- Live Nation U.K. managing director Stuart Galbraith has been dismissed from the global live music company due to “breach of contract,” effective immediately.

Live Nation U.K. president Paul Latham will step in to run the British company, according to Billboard.biz.

Live Nation would not comment on Galbraith’s departure.

Galbraith served as vice president of promotions/director of festivals in the U.K. for Clear Channel Entertainment, prior to the company’s spin-off in late 2005. He first joined the company in 1999 following CCE’s purchase of SFX.

During his tenure, Galbraith played a central role in the creation of Britain’s Download and O2 Wireless festivals, among others, and was in charge of production at the July 2005 Live 8 concert in London’s Hyde Park. --by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
