Scuffle At Charlotte Ozzfest
Posted: September 4, 2007
CHARLOTTE, NC (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) -- On the second to last stop of the 2007 Ozzfest tour, an incident with an unruly fan left an unspecified number of off-duty law enforcement officers with minor injuries in Charlotte, North Carolina.

On Tuesday, August 28th, several off-duty cops were working security at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater for the hard rock festival, when a concertgoer assaulted one of the officers. The security team used forced to take him into custody, according to the Charlotte Observer.

The sold-out concert was otherwise free of the violence that rocked a New Jersey stop on the tour.

At the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, New Jersey, two concertgoers were killed and police arrested 83 at the August 16th concert. The venue has since revamped it’s drinking and security policies.

The free 2007 Ozzfest tour finished up last Thursday night in West Palm Beach, Florida. --by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
