CAA Film Agent Walker Leaves For Cinetic Media
Posted: September 6, 2007
NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) -- CAA agent Bart Walker is leaving the agency business to join John Sloss and Robert Nathan as a partner at Cinetic Media, a financing and film package assembling company for filmmakers and investors.

Walker has served as a New York-based agent for CAA for the past three years, serving clients such as filmmakers Julie Taymor, Tamara Jenkins and Julian Schnabel. Prior to that, he served as head of ICM’s motion picture department for three years, and has been heralded as a champion of such independent filmmaker clients as John Turturro, Mira Nair, Sofia Coppola, Jim Jarmusch, and Francis Ford Coppola’s American Zoetrope, according to Variety.

Walker hopes to continue to represent his clients in a new management division of Cinetic.

Sloss told the magazine that he and Walker “share a passion for representation in broad terms…We see Cinetic as a new kind of service company, one that will create innovative structures that benefit filmmakers as well as financiers so that their creative and economic goals are realized.” --by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
