LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) -- Motley Crue has amended their lawsuit against former band manager Carl Stubner. According to the the amended lawsuit, the band is seeking 20 million in compensatory damages from Carl Stubner and his three companies Sanctuary Group, Inc., Sanctuary Artist Management, Inc. and Carl Stubner Productions, asserting that he breached his fiduciary duties to the band by allegedly orchestrating a scheme for his personal financial gain at the expense and to the detriment of the band. The suit details allegations that Stubner, among other misdeeds, allegedly scalped free tickets to the band's shows. The suit also claim that he acted attempted to use his relationship with band member Tommy Lee as an extortionate tool against the band, withholding Lee from scheduled tour dates and recording sessions in an attempt to garner a higher commission for himself. Lawyers for the band have also made issue with a reality show put together by Stubner and Lee entitled "Tommy Lee Goes to College," which turned out (surprise surprise) to be a flop. The suit assets that the show damaged their public standing by portraying Lee as "incoherent, lazy and incompetent" and made him "look like a laughing stock who could not carry a drum beat."

The amended suit also contains ten sworn statements refuting Stubner's previous claims that he and Sanctuary only managed Tommy Lee and not the band. Among in those submitting evidentiary statements were a number of the band's other managers, Burt Stein, Paul Schindler, Jeff Varner & Dennis Arfa. While Stubner hasn't responded publicly the the amended suit, drummer Tommy Lee has announced his resignation from the band, effectively immediately. - CelebrityAccess Staff Writers |
