Kaiser Chiefs Cancel North American Tour
Posted: September 12, 2007
London, (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) – “Something had to give,” according to drummer Nick Hodgson. This week it seems to be North American tours dates. All but three American dates are now cancelled.

The Kaiser Chiefs last Album ‘Your Truly, Angry Mob’ released in America in February sold a meager 82,000 copies. However, the group feels their time is better suited to write and record a third album than promote their last one in the US and Canada.

Posted on the band’s website was this apology: “We’d like to apologize to fans who have already bought tickets, but something had to give. We’ve had no time to focus on the future this year, and we plan to have new material out as soon as possible. We feel the need to record before our European & UK shows at the end of the year so we can play a few of our new songs live.”

Kaiser Chiefs are still very much planning on honoring their European and UK dates and are truly regretful to their fans in North America. Tickets already purchased are fully refundable.
