WFCU Buys Naming Rights For New Windsor Arena
Posted: September 13, 2007
WINDSOR, Ontario (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) -- Windsor's brand new Hockey Arena has been officially named. Henceforth, it will be known as the WFCU Centre, The Windsor Star reported.

The Windsor Family Credit Union reportedly paid $1.62 million for the naming rights to the arena which will pay host to Ontario Hockey League team, the Windsor Spitfires.

"This is great honour for us to have our name associated with this complex," Marty Komsa, the credit union's president and CEO told The Windsor Star. "It's not a commitment we take lightly. We look forward to a long relationship with this complex."

While the arena itself has been named, there are other opportunities for naming rights to parts of the complex, including special purpose rooms, ice rinks and the gymnasium. - CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
