LONDON (CelebrityAccess) -- Australian-born pop singer Natalie Imbruglia has canceled an upcoming concert in Israel, with event organizers citing logistical issues.

Imbruglia was due to perform in Tel Aviv on March 1st, as a part of her current tour, but removed the listing from her itinerary on Feb. 12th.

Imbruglia apologized to her fans and promised to make up the date at a later time.

While Imbruglia laid the blame for the cancellation at the feet of logistics, activists in support of the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) campaign, claimed to have played a part in the cancellation. The group had publically urged Imbruglia to cancel her show after Israel passed the controversial Settlements law last week, retroactively legalizing homes built on privately-owned Palestinian land that would appear to be in contravention of the Fourth Geneva convention that prohibits countries from settling territory occupied in a war.

A representative for Imbruglia did not respond to a request for comment on the matter. - Staff Writers
