The singer had arrived at LAX in Los Angeles to start a string of west coast dates but was detained by immigration for 5 hours, reportedly in relation to an alleged attack Allen made on a photographer outside of a London nightclub in London in March. Eventually, she was allowed to clear immigrations but only with a tourist visa MSNBC reported.
Allen had been scheduled to start a tour on September 6th at the House of Blues in San Diego but all upcoming U.S. dates are at the very least "postponed" if not outright canceled, including her Sept. 9th appearance at the MTV Wards in Las Vegas. Other canceled dates include Anaheim, Portland, Seattle, San Francisco, as well as Las Vegas.
A post on the singer's blog reported that Lily said: "I am so disappointed that I won't be able to come to the States at this time. I was really looking forward to playing these shows and being part of the Video Music Awards. I want my fans to know that I'll be back as soon as I possibly can!"
You might not want to hold your breath for her imminent return however. At a recent appearance at V Fest this weekend, the singer used her bully pulpit to lash out of U.S. Customs officials and President Bush, stating "I couldn't care less if I never go to America again. I would rather be with my man. I've been banned from America. That's nice. Oh well, that means I can't go back there. Good.", she then used several expletives to describe the president and went on to raise a glass of Jaegermeister to the apparently equally troubled singer Amy Winehouse. - CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
