Brand New Knitting Factory Set To Debut In Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, NY (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) -- The Knitting Factory is poised to open their newest outlet at 361 Metropolitan Avenue in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY.

Formerly located in Manhattan's Tribeca neighborhood, the club closed its doors in January in preparation for the move to their new Brooklyn digs.

Set to open on September 9th with a performance by Les Savy Fav, the newly remodeled club will feature a flexible capacity performance space with a 400-square-foot stage and a brand new, state-of-the-art sound and light system. The club will also house two full bars; The Knit Bar and the Performance Space Bar - the Knit Bar will have its own performance space and be able to host acoustic sets, reading ands DJ sets.

The new club already has a busy schedule of music and events lined up. In addition to the opening gig by Les Savy Fav, the club has scheduled performances by Boss Hog, Rasputina, Mayer Hawthorne, Titus Andronicus, The Raincoats, The Spits, Mucca Pazza, Melissa Auf der Maur, cEvin Key, A Wilhelm Scream, Helado Negro, Maps and Atlases, No Neck Blues Band, Dub Trio, Smokey's Secret Family with additional dates tba.

The club is also providing a space for cultural events and a quick look at their schedule reveals Williamsburg Fashion Week's Fashion and Arts Premiere, the Miss LEZ Pageant and the Royal Flush Film Festival.
