Police Officer In Critical Condition After Being Stabbed Outside Concert
Posted: June 8, 2011
CAMDEN, N.J.(AP) - Authorities say a Camden police officer is in critical condition but stable condition at Cooper University Hospital two days after he was stabbed following a concert.

The Camden County Prosecutor's Office released the officer's name on Monday. He is Richard Harris, a 14-year veteran of the city's police department.

The prosecutor's office says he was stabbed Saturday night while breaking up a fight outside the Susquehanna Center. Harris was working a traffic detail after a country music concert celebrating the 25th anniversary of Philadelphia radio station WXTU.

One man has been charged with attempted murder and weapons offenses. A second is charged with resisting arrest and obstructing justice.
